CANCELLED: City Council Regulatory & Neighborhood Affairs Committee (virtual meeting)

Due to the funeral for George Floyd, the June 9 RNA meeting is cancelled. The ARA department will provide an update on the boarding homes, lodging facilities, correctional facilities and alternate housing facilities ordinance at the July 14 RNA meeting.

The Regulatory and Neighborhood Affairs (RNA) Committee considers policies and regulations that protect and promote strong, vibrant neighborhoods and encourage the positive development of communities. The committee oversees the Departments of Neighborhoods, Administration and Regulatory Affairs, and Solid Waste Management. At-Large Position 5 Council Member Sallie Alcorn serves as Chair of the committee and Council Member Jerry Davis serves as Vice Chair.

The June 9th RNA Committee meeting will be held virtually on Microsoft Teams Live and will be broadcast on HTV as well as via this link. Public comment will be allowed via videoconference; no in-person input will be allowed. Only those who sign up in advance will be able to provide public comments during the meeting. Public speakers will receive a specific link that will allow them to be able to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting at their designated time to speak.
