H-GAC, the region’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), is launching its second round of public outreach activities as we develop the 2045 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The RTP is a blueprint for prioritizing investments on transportation projects within the eight-counties that make up the Houston-Galveston metropolitan planning region and is updated every four years.
Six public meetings will facilitate dialogue on the most pressing transportation issues and provide opportunities for the public to contribute feedback and submit public comments. An expert panel will present “Transportation 101: What You Need to Know,” including discussion of what’s next for the 2045 RTP, draft selections from the 2018 “Call for Projects,” performance measures, air quality, and transportation conformity.
