COVID-19 - Stay Home, Work Safe: updates and more resources
As we’ve all learned, in an effort to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Houston and Harris County, Mayor Sylvester Turner joined Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo for the issuance of a County-wide “Stay Home, Work Safe” order, which took effect at 11:59 pm, Tuesday, March 24, and has now been extended through April 30, 2020. For details on this order, please visit www.readyharris.org/Stay-Home.
Please continue to refer to the City and County COVID-19 Resources for official information from our local governments related to the pandemic.

Feeding those in need and supporting our restaurants
From one of CM Kamin’s updates, we learned about Fund & Feed, an initiative she helped launch.:
Fund & Feed is an innovative initiative designed to address the health and economic impacts of COVID-19 in our community, and it was just featured in the Houston Chronicle. This initiative serves a dual purpose: 1) providing meals to Houstonians in need during the COVID-19 outbreak and 2) supporting local restaurants through the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus. This initiative is a collaborative effort with CrowdSource Rescue, Houston Restaurant Association, and the local restaurants that make our city so special.
