The Committee on Childhood & Youth will take place via Microsoft Teams Live on February 10 at 2:00 pm. Topic: Health Impacts of COVID on Children and Youth. Public comment will be allowed via videoconference; no in person input will be allowed. Only those who sign up in advance will be able to provide public comments during the meeting. Public speakers will receive a specific link that will allow them to speak during the public comment portion of the meeting at their designated time.

The Childhood & Youth Committee will review issues related to the quality of life of children and our youth, primarily focusing on ages 0-24. Departments focused on promoting physical health, social and emotional wellbeing of children including Parks & Recreation, Houston Public Library, Health, and Mayor’s Office of Education. The Childhood & Youth Committee will meet on the second Wednesday of each month, unless otherwise notified. All meetings are open to the public and will include an opportunity for public comment. All meetings will be held virtually until further notice.
